Evaporator Operator Job Description:
Tends evaporator that condenses sulfite and black liquor to prepare them for recovery furnace: Adjusts controls and turns valves of evaporator to regulate flow and temperature of liquor to dehydrate liquor to specified density. Tests sample of liquor concentrate, using hydrometer and thermometer, to determine density. Cleans evaporator chambers, using steam hose.
