Vacuum-Drier Tender Job Description:
Tends vacuum driers that heat chemical solids to remove water or other liquids: Observes temperature indicators and vacuum gauges and turns steam valves and sets dials to regulate temperature and vacuum pressure in drier as specified. Observes drying material in glass viewer of equipment for conformance with specifications. Collects samples of material for laboratory moisture test. Records gauge readings, type of material dried, weight, and drying time.
