Inspects sheep and lamb pelts to determine condition of pelts and grade of wool: Examines and feels wool to determine color, texture, and length, and sorts pelts or loose wool into grades for pulling or drying. Inspects pickled slats (sheep skins) for cuts, tears, blemishes, and skin quality, and stacks pelts in piles according to grade. May record quantity and grades of wool or pelts inspected.
